Having a Planned C-Section Could Mean A Better Sex Life

Imagine that!  A planned C-section could mean an improved sex life.

Yep,  that’s the conclusion drawn from a study done with over 900 healthy first time mothers along with their husbands who were questioned about their sexual function.

The researchers conducting the test used a female sexual function index for the women and a similar index for the men which are questionnaires developed specifically for measuring sexual function.

Interestingly enough the tests showed that women who had planned c-section, note the keyword here is ‘planned’, scored higher on the sexual function index than women who had vaginal births or emergency c-sections.   You can read more about the study here:

The study clearly needs further research but just for fun…

Are C-Section Moms Less Responsive to Baby?

In an article by Denise Mann from WebMD Health News titled ‘C-Sections Affects Moms’ Response to Baby’ I was happy to hear that having a c-section doesn’t mean you should feel like less of a mother but it did indicate something interesting and that is that moms who deliver naturally may be more responsive to their newborn’s cries than moms who have had a c-section.        Read more »
