C-Section Recovery – An Interview With Christina Hemming

Today I’d like to welcome Christina Hemming of Maui Healing Kits.

Christina is not only the owner of Maui Healing kits,  she is also a c-section mom herself.  In fact that’s how she came to develop her Abdomend™ products and healing kit.  Products designed especially for c-section recovery moms.

I’ve admired Christina and her support for women recovering from a c-section for a few years now.   In fact I’ve been so impressed with Christina’s outstanding products and her quality service that I asked her if she’d do a guest interview for us this week.    Of course she was happy to be our guest and today I’m thrilled to help you get to know her and her products better.

So let’s get started: Read more »

The Benefits of Using A Post C-Section Belly Binder

C-section recovery can be painful, but the benefits of using a post C-Section belly binder can help with your C-Section recovery by keeping you pain free longer and feeling better faster.

I’ve been a strong proponent of using C-Section belly binders and wraps for years because they are the one thing, besides your medication, that can ease your pain and keep you moving throughout the day.

That’s important not only for your mental outlook but it’s a great way to help get you back in shape without discomfort and pain.

Unfortunately, not all belly binders and wraps are created equal.  In fact most of them are made of stiff materials that pinch and cut into your skin, especially the ones they give you in the hospital.

Christina Hemming, owner of Maui Healing Kits, is here to demonstrate how the C-Section abdominal binder works to relieve your post c-section belly pain and keeps you moving in pure comfort.

Recovery After Surgery – A Personal Experience

Just a few days ago my sister had her kidney removed and I’ve taken a few days to help her out at home.  Of course I’m not familiar at all with kidney recovery as I am with c-section recovery, but there are plenty of similarities when it comes to caring for someone at home and their recovery after surgery.

For one thing, there’s a lot of pain so getting the right medications, doses and schedules is important.

My sister didn’t tolerate the initial medications she was sent home with so we had to revert to other medications that worked better.  This made the first few days pretty tough.   Read more »
