What About Having a C-section Scares You the Most?

If you’re going to be having a c-section chances are you’re a little nervous or maybe even down right scared, especially if it will be your first c-section.

Most women having a c-section worry a lot about recovery and things like how long it will take, how painful it will be, their scar and so on,  but is there anything about the c-section procedure itself that freaks you out or that you are particularly worried about?  Let’s discuss it.

C-Section Surgery – Weird Things Can Happen

Having a c-section today is one of the most common surgeries but it’s also one of the safest. But no matter how common or safe something is there are still things that can happen that aren’t expected or that not everyone knows or talks much about.

Can Your C-section Be A More Natural Experience?

That’s the very question Queen Charlotte’s Hospital in London asked when they realized how c-section births are rising.

Because c-sections are major abdominal surgery they aren’t ‘natural’.  This is a problem for many women because they feel they are being robbed from the natural experience of giving birth.  I totally understand this so I often get excited when hospitals and doctors can find and provide ways to give the procedure a more natural feel.

C-Section or Vaginal Birth – Which is Better?

With all the c-sections performed today, both for medical reasons and by choice, you might be tempted to ask yourself which is better?  Having a vaginal birth or a C-Section?
