Should you Prepare for a C-Section - Just in Case?

I run into pregnant women all the time, in fact just the other day while doing my run to the grocery store I counted 4 women that were pregnant.

I notice pregnant women a lot, which is really no surprise as I’ve written a book about Cesarean’s and have had 2 c-sections myself, but I also just have an interest in those cute, tiny, precious babies :-)

It’s also no surprise that when I see a pregnant woman I often wonder how they will deliver, will they be vaginal or c-section? But I also wonder if they themselves ever think that a c-section might be possible. Probably not. I certainly didn’t when I was having my first child.

Is It Normal To Feel Cheated After a C-Section?

Yes, it is normal to feel cheated after having a c-section especially if you were expecting to deliver naturally.  It’s a feeling that you were robbed of an experience that you imagined would happen for you in a specific way.

Of course you’ll often hear from friends and loved ones that what really matters is that you had a healthy baby, while that is very important, it’s just not enough to make up for an emotional let down that having a c-section can bring.
